Tooth Fairy: Supervised and Semi-Supervised Maxillofacial Image Segmentation Challenges (TF-SSMS2023)

Welcome to the Tooth Fairy (TF-SSMS2023) Benchmark joint-event for MICCAI 2023!

We are two CoW benchmarking challenges with MICCAI 2023:

• ToothFairy : A Cone-Beam Computed Tomography Segmentation Challenge
• STS: Semi-supervised Teeth Segmentation. This competition consists of two tracks:
  • STS-2D :Semi-supervised Tooth Segmentation on Panoramic X-ray Image
  • STS-3D :Semi-supervised Tooth Segmentation on Cone Beam Computed Tomography Volume

Together both challenges will organize a joint event called “Tooth Fairy: Supervised and Semi-Supervised Maxillofacial Image Segmentation Challenges” at the MICCAI Conference. In this half-day joint event, we will have a combined introduction and overview on the topic of dental x-rays and CBCT segmentation both challenges, followed by two 1.5 hours sessions to summarize and announce the results for each challenge.

We will host a combined round-table discussion with all participants. Finally, STS and TF will share a subset of the data, namely 3000 x-rays and 1000 CBCT scans for training and 100 for testing.

These data sets will be annotated and evaluated by each challenge.
